I have always been fascinated by documenting the things i don't understand. While living in France i had the opportunity to follow my neighbor and his hunting party with a chance to capture the day's events. It turned my ignorance into understanding. While i still would never be able to shoot any majestic animal myself, it would be hypocritical to not be able to witness it being a meat eater. Turns out that there is a deep code of conduct and widely obeyed rules of the hunt. During the day, more than 20 animals escaped the bullets aimed to kill them. It was a surprise to me how chance and skill play a role in the life and death moments. 

In the end, one animal was shot and gutted.
